365 NEW DAYS, 365 NEW CHANCES. | Personal Blog Post

Am I the only one who has a hard time sticking to resolutions for the new year? I laugh at myself so much because of how many times I look at my list and realize that I made way too many goals for 2018. But that's just it.....is there really such a thing as too many goals? Life is full of new days, new memories, new opportunities, new friendships, new music....new EVERYTHING. Why not embrace that?!?!?!

Ariel and Keaton | Nash Farms Engagement

When I think about love, I think of big trees like the one captured here! A love full of roots, growth, and age. I'm so excited to see how Ariel and Keaton's love story flourishes into a strong, happy life! This sweet "Bride-To-Be" was basically a model throughout the whole photo shoot and her man just modeled right back, with her!!! She was absolutely stunning and so full of joy due to the fact she gets to marry her forever sweetheart in just two short weeks! I can't wait for this big day!!!

Ivy | Sunrise at Arabia Mountain

When waking up to my alarm at 5:45 A.M. for this photo shoot...I was so drained. When I refreshed my memory of the scenery ontop of the mountain, I jumped out of bed with a huge smile on my face and headed out the door! I'm so thankful for friends that model for me when I get in these creative funks!!! Ivy was so sweet and offered to model for me which turned out to be a TOTAL success. Everything was so natural with her and I was so giddy behind the camera because she knew exactly what to do without me saying it. Arabia Mountain was the perfect background for this portrait session! One thing I told Ivy while we were shooting was that "I never want to make photography feel like a desk job" and I really mean that. This session reminded me that even when I'm busy with weddings or other photo shoots, it's still great to go and create something new. Instead of focusing on the veil and bouquet, I focused on this amazing sunrise and just went for it.

I had to put the sunrise silhouette photo, above, by itself because I just wanted y'all to see how beautiful the sky was. When we got up to the top and waited for the sun to arise, I couldn't help but smile. Everything was so golden and pink! I loved it!!!!! Okay, enjoy the rest of the photos below!

Boho Session with Maggie

Tonight I got to photograph a classmate of mine and I am so proud of how the images turned out!!!! Ya'll, Maggie totally rocked this session. Maybe it's because her style is literally so down to Earth that it was SO easy to photograph her....YUP, THAT'S PROBABLY IT. This photo shoot is by-far one of my favorites just because I got to let my creative juices out with no pressure of perfection. I just saw the light and told her to jump in the grass for a picture and she did it. This session was just what I needed to inspire me to do more creative photographs during this busy month of mine!!! Surrounding yourself with a positive/creative community is essential for a healthy lifestyle in this business. You need positive and uplifting friends who will encourage your work and your ideas. I'm thankful for the friendship I've grown with Maggie over the last couple of days because she is exactly the positive energy every photographer needs!! Enjoy the photos from tonight down below!! Xoxo!

Lindsey and Josh - Piedmont Park

Well I checked something off of my bucket list tonight!! I have always wanted to photograph this sweet couple ever since they got married and I finally got to tonight hehe!! Lindsey has been a family friend for years and I'm so glad she found a man who makes her smile this big! Happy one year anniversary to you two! ❤

Jett Photography Welcomes Boudoir

Yesss the time has finally come!!! The new addition to Jett Photography is BOUDOIR. I am so excited to launch this part of my business, ya'll!! I've been asked so many times to capture these types of images for brides and now I can finally say YES to their....lingerie! (See what I did there??? They said yes to the dress and I tweaked it a little bit hehe!)

Jett Photography uses a natural light studio to capture the boudoir sessions and there is a little bit of travel involved to get there so make sure to make a good road trip playlist!

Price: $130 for studio space rental + $80 travel/shooting fee = $210 full price of session.

Jett Photography includes the "little black book" for your hubby. You and I select the images and their order for the book and then it’s time for SEND OFF!

How to tell if Jett Photography is the right photographer for your session:

  1. Classy - This is a word I want to keep in mind because a lot of boudoir sessions in the photography world don't keep things classy. I want to show off your natural beauty, not a fake fantasy. Nothing provacative.

  2. Fun Spirited - A boudoir session with JP is full of laughter, jokes, and dancing but also a whole lot of seriousness. The more comfortable you are, the more fun we have!

  3. Confident - Be confident in your body....your stretch marks...your laugh...EVERYTHING. These are for your handsome future hubby, THINK ABOUT THAT. Show him who he's marrying, lady!

  4. Natural Light Look - Natural light and natural self, I say. JP is not a flash based business so there will be use of window light and reflectors.

  5. Lover of Lace - Lace everything. Lace is so elegant and so beautiful. Make sure you have lots and lots of lace. (This isn't to tell if I'm the right photographer for you, I just wanted to tell you that lace is the way to go!)

  6. Must Have Jett Photography As Your Wedding Photographer - No random stranger requests, please.

To view my portfolio, contact me for the passcode to get into my boudoir website!

Taylor McHenry Summer Shoot

Let me just start out with this.....TAYLOR NEEDS TO MODEL. I've been wanting to take pictures with her for the longest time and FINALLY we both had clear schedules to do this styled shoot - YAY!!! I wanted to incorporate sunflowers as well as a more natural look for the model which she did amazing with her hair choice of a loose braid - perfect for this photoshoot. This session was full of fun, laughter, and pretty flowers - what more could you ask for?!?!

Then we started walking around the McDonough Square and found even more flowers...so of course we had to photograph with them!!!! I pretty much told Taylor to jump in the flower bushes and she happily did it - which was SO worth it because the images came out beautiful!!!

Oh wait, it gets better.....THEN we found a bush of flowers that matched her lipgloss!!! HOW AWESOME? I was fangirling the whole time! These are probably my most favorite images from the shoot.

Overall, this was just an amazing session!! Thank you Taylor for letting me take your pictures!! :) Have a great night, ya'll! Thanks for checking out the blog!!
